Job Description:
Experience: More than 2 years in the recovery room
Position: Full-time and permanent
Schedule: 3 days/week NIGHT from 8:00 PM to 8:00 AM (12:00 PM)
Signing Bonus: $5,000
Compensation based on years of experience: $35 to $58 per hour
Night shift premium: $6/hour

Main Role
Provide immediate post-anesthesia monitoring and care to patients leaving the operating room, ensuring their safety, comfort, and recovery optimal.
Responsibilities
Greet patients in the recovery room after surgery.
Monitor vital signs: blood pressure, heart rate, respiration, oxygen saturation.
Manage postoperative pain according to protocols (IV, PCA, epidural).
Detect and intervene quickly in case of complications (bleeding, respiratory distress, nausea, etc.).
Collaborate closely with anesthesiologists and surgeons.
Document all observations and interventions in the patient's file.
Ensure clear communication with families and the healthcare team.
Prepare and maintain monitoring equipment and medical equipment.
Comply with hygiene and safety protocols. and quality.
Requirements
College Diploma (DEC) in nursing or equivalent.
Member in good standing of the OIIQ.
Experience in post-operative care or intensive care (asset).
Good stress management and ability to react in emergency situations.
Interpersonal skills and empathy.
Availability to work flexible hours (days, evenings, nights, weekends).
Knowledge of medical protocols and monitoring equipment.
